John speaks openly about his physical disability, spastic paraplegia, to inspire others to achieve their full potential and motivate everyone to think differently about people with disabilities.

A keynote speaker, John has been recognised in public speaking competitions and also leads public speaking workshops.

John is part of Toastmasters International, a not-for-profit organisation, helping people gain public speaking and leadership skills.

John is a Content Producer for the BBC, with substantial experience of producing content for radio and BBC Sounds. He works with the BBC Academy to deliver public speaking workshops. John also co-founded Toastmasters at the BBC and is the current President.

A very keen cyclist, he has completed a number of cycling events, including three coasts-to coasts across England, cycled from London to Paris for charity and taken part in multiple one day challenges.

A passionate advocate of blood and organ donation, John regularly raises money for Kings Hospital in London, Ronald McDonald House charities and is a very keen supporter of the British Transplant Games.

Whether it’s public speaking, audio production, or cycling, John loves to hear from like-minded people.
